7 Months ago my wife Cherry-lee was diagnosed with a brain tumour (Stage II Oligodendroglioma) just two months after giving birth to our firstborn Noah. The news was a shock to us and absolutely rocked our world.

Throughout the process, while being stuck in the UK, we had to raise the finances independently to fund the surgery and it was in this process I realised the power of giving and how much it means to  the people that are affected by these traumas, including our very close friend’s 4 year old boy that was diagnosed with a brain tumour just 3 months after Cherry’s case.

Since the surgery we have realised and seen how much good is being done in this world by so many individuals and organisations. In my journey to try give back and help others affected by these terrible illnesses I have decided to join Cherry-lee and Laura in their Two Oceans Half marathon and would like to try raise some funds for the Rainbows & Smiles organisation.

The charity is dedicated to providing assistance in the form of emotional, social and financial support to families and caregivers in need when a child or children of that family is diagnosed with cancer or a life threatening illness. Please support me and this wonderful cause as I try and raise R2100 (R100 for each kilometre).
