So far, so good! Mission accomplished at the 2022 Cape Town Cycle Tour, the first of four planned "FIVE" fundraiser events for 2022. Despite the rain and cold and grumpy conditions, the spirits of all participants was high and what a pleasure to ride the event well under my target time.

I managed to raise over R10 000 for those who cannot help themselves yet, and am most grateful to all who supported our valuable cause. I have upped my target to R15 000, so I will be driven by this joy of being able to raise money to support those coming into a new way of living life on life's terms.

On Saturday 07 May, I take on the 160Km Mountain Bike Event "The Race To The Sun", where we ride our bikes from Hartbeespoort to Sun City.

I have the joy of being able to ride alongside my fellow team mates in The Recovery Foundation Cycling Development Team and cannot wait to take on this proper biking challenge along the canals of our North West Province leading to the kingdom of the Sun in our glorious Pilanesberg.  

What a powerful way to support the ambitions of those wanting to recover and improve their lives and communities.
