Brandon is my son; he is 21 years old now. He was born with club feet on both feet and also, 1 kidney needed to be removed when he was a baby. At the age of 5, he went to orthopaedic to start with his foot treatment, and by the age of 2, he had his 3rd operation. The doctor informed us that he would have another operation by the time he was 15, but we could not afford it. The negative impact he has is that he cannot stand or walk for too long or far, as his feet are in pain, and you can see the tears.
In 2022, he was in a work vehicle accident, and after X-rays, it confirmed he also had problems with his spine due to not receiving proper treatment after the operations on his feet. This has an impact because he got retrenched due to his continuous pain at the age of 20. It is heartbreaking because he cannot work long hours without pain. If I can raise enough money for spine and both feet operations, I can give that to him, and he can enjoy his young life, find work, and start a family.
Please open your hearts to help me help my son, as the state hospitals are so full, and his waiting period is 6 to 7 years, which is heartbreaking.
