There is no greater force in this world than parents' unwavering love and determination to make life better for their children.

We have a daughter named Bianke, who is currently 32 years old. From a tender age, it was evident that she possessed something extraordinary. She owns remarkable intelligence, making us immensely proud. We knew she had a unique calling to impart knowledge and uplift others.

In 2012, Bianke met the love of her life and they embarked on their beautiful journey together. In 2014, while pursuing her studies part-time and working as a full-time student teacher, she gave birth to their first precious daughter. Just two years later, in 2016, she welcomed another beautiful child into the world. We marveled at her ability to balance the demands of motherhood, education, and teaching. However, beneath her brave façade, we could sense her exhaustion. We urged her to take a break, to be kinder to herself. Yet, she soldiered on, relentlessly pursuing her dreams.

Months passed, and despite numerous doctor visits, where vitamin supplements and blood tests were administered, her fatigue persisted. One doctor even dismissed her concerns, attributing her fatigue to a lack of prioritization. Eventually, she ended up hospitalized, only then discovering the devastating truth – she had been diagnosed with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.

Initially, we consoled ourselves, believing that life with the disease would present only minor challenges. We envisioned a future where Bianke would lead a fulfilling existence despite her condition. However, the reality has been far harsher than anticipated. As time has progressed, we have witnessed her struggle relentlessly. Each day, even the simple act of standing in front of her classroom became an arduous task, robbing her of essential energy needed to care for her own family.

In 2020, amidst the chaos of the pandemic, Bianke and her husband made the difficult decision for her to resign from her teaching career. We optimistically believed that a respite from her professional responsibilities would lead to her gradual recovery. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. Since then, her condition has rapidly deteriorated, leaving her bedridden and completely dependent on others for her every need. Bianke lacks the ability to perform even the simplest tasks, like combing her daughters' hair or packing their lunches for school. Instead, her children have been thrust into a role of caretakers. .

Bianke has a devoted caregiver named Caru who attends to her needs tirelessly. From bathing her to assisting with daily activities, Caru is there, providing the support and care that Bianke requires. However, there are certain essentials that would greatly enhance Bianke's quality of life. She desperately needs a specialized motorized wheelchair, granting her a modicum of independence to move freely throughout her home and interact with her children in their bedrooms or outside as they play. In addition, a bath lift and an adjustable bed would provide her with the autonomy to bathe and sit upright without constant assistance.

Therefore, I implore you,  to open your hearts and extend a helping hand. Bianke's circumstances are heart-wrenching, and it is my deepest wish to ease her burden. We are in dire need of funds totaling R200,000.00 to secure the essential equipment that will grant her a semblance of normalcy, allowing her to wake her children for school, join them outside, and participate in family meals and activities without having to rely on the aid of others.

Please, I beseech you; join us in restoring Bianke's independence and dignity. Your act of kindness will be eternally cherished and forever remembered.
