Personal message

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

This year, I have decided to Be A Sport and raise funds for Afrika Tikkun by completing the Pick 'n Pay Argus cycle tour. Don't ask what got into my mind to enter my first Argus race in the first place, but even though I only recently started training, I am quietly confident that I will complete it in the alloted time, and if I can do it, then I know you can help support this cause. Each Cyclists who rides in the EACH ONE TEACH ONE Team has been challenged to see how many children they can send to school by the end of their race. It costs R2160 a year to send a child to one of Afrika Tikkun?s Early Childhood Development Centres (ECD).

Children that attend E.C.D Centres are less likely to turn to crime, and are more likely to become productive citizens. This will then have a direct result in overall economic improvement and we will have stronger and healthier communities!

Please support me in this awesome challenge!

Afrika Tikkun

Charity Default Logo

Afrika Tikkun (AT) was founded in 1994 with the goal of developing and uplifting young people in disadvantaged communities resident in the Republic of South Africa. With like-minded partners, Afrika Tikkun aims to end child poverty and youth unemployment through a holistic approach that begins in early childhood and ends with productive adults accessing the economy. Our approach provides all-inclusive care (nutrition, health and social) services and helps SA’s youth achieve success with a model called Cradle-to-Career 360°, which has earned Afrika Tikkun recognition for being one of the most impactful organisations in South Africa. We operate from four centres in Gauteng and one in Cape Town.
