Urgency grips us at HuskyRomi Wolf Sanctuary in Reitz, the Free State. We're facing a pressing situation here at HuskyRomi Wolf Sanctuary. The recent avian flu outbreak has taken away our essential chicken supply, which a local farm generously donated to support our 250 incredible residents, including wolves, huskies, dogs, and other rescued animals.

While we have enough food to last us through October, the upcoming months of November and December present a severe challenge. To address this, we've identified an alternative local food source: cow meat. One cow, priced at R8000, can provide a single day's meal for all our animals. We can feed them three times a week instead of four on reduced rations.

To bridge this critical gap, we urgently need funds to purchase three cows per week for the next eight weeks, totaling R192,000. This marks a significant departure from our past reliance on donated chicken. While meat is the ideal and natural food for our animals, we will gratefully accept large breed dog pellet donations as a temporary substitute for cow meat.

The well-being of our animals leaves us no choice but to seek your assistance. With numerous lives depending on us, your compassion can make all the difference! Your contributions and alternative food donations will ensure we can feed our animals at least until the end of the year.
