Personal message
Hello Everybody,
My name is Ash, and I'm a 40-year-old father of two amazing kids. I've been battling renal failure for a few years, and recently, I've been diagnosed with cancer. The treatment I need includes chemotherapy and possibly radiation, which will eventually lead to kidney failure, necessitating a transplant.
Unfortunately, relying on public healthcare means I'm excluded from receiving a transplant due to cancer being a disqualifying factor in public hospitals, though not in private ones. My greatest wish is to stay alive long enough to witness my kids grow up, but there are countless uncertainties surrounding my treatment and future.
I don't know if the chemotherapy will be effective or if my sibling will be a compatible kidney donor (requiring tests I can't afford). Despite these challenges, my life centers around being a positive presence in my children's lives to ensure they grow up to be independent adults.
However, I've encountered difficulties finding employment as employers often hesitate to hire chronically ill individuals like myself. Therefore, I'm humbly appealing to you for help. The funds raised will be a crucial starting point in accessing private treatment, which could significantly extend my life and improve its quality.
I earnestly request you to open your hearts and minds and consider supporting me in this difficult time. Thank you for your kindness and consideration.
