My name is Arlette Pienaar, and I am 23 years old. I have struggled with my health all my life and have undergone countless surgeries. In recent years, both my physical and mental health have deteriorated. Chronic pain has become pervasive, affecting my entire body, leading me through what feels like an endless array of doctor's appointments and tests.

Only last year, medical professionals concluded that I suffer from an autoimmune disorder: rheumatoid arthritis. Unfortunately, the pain has only worsened over time, and medications offer little relief. Simple tasks, such as writing with a pen, now cause excruciating pain.

Despite my passion for music, I have been unable to pursue my dream due to constant illness. Unemployment compounds the difficulties I face, making everyday tasks challenging.

I am reaching out for support to cover my mounting medical bills. The numerous specialists I see and the costly medications I require to manage chronic pain, depression, and anxiety add up quickly. It has been a tough journey for both myself and my family.
