Personal message
Hi! I am Head of Department of Life Orientation at a private high school in Gauteng. Life Orientation is a learning area imbued with imparting values, morals, ethics and social and familial responsibility to learners of all ages. I am constantly encouraging my learners to participate in community awareness projects and to give of their time to worthwhile causes.
Life Orientation learners need to accumulate community service hours as part of their Matric portfolio. My school and I are very committed to encouraging our learners to involve themselves with the fantastic work and projects associated with the MaAfrika Tikkun organization, and we have had their representatives come in and address our learners.
As a full-time educator, it is not often that I am able to participate in large scale extra-curricular charitable events and Walk The Talk presents such an opportunity. I am joining the MaAfrika Tikkun Walk The Talk team for their 8km trot and ask you to sponsor me so that I too can raise money for MaAfrika Tikkun and give back to this wonderful organization!
Thank you!!!

Afrika Tikkun

Afrika Tikkun (AT) was founded in 1994 with the goal of developing and uplifting young people in disadvantaged communities resident in the Republic of South Africa. With like-minded partners, Afrika Tikkun aims to end child poverty and youth unemployment through a holistic approach that begins in early childhood and ends with productive adults accessing the economy. Our approach provides all-inclusive care (nutrition, health and social) services and helps SA’s youth achieve success with a model called Cradle-to-Career 360°, which has earned Afrika Tikkun recognition for being one of the most impactful organisations in South Africa. We operate from four centres in Gauteng and one in Cape Town.
