Personal message
Why put myself through 35km of unforgiving terrain?
First, because of the challenge. It's a pretty daunting task, but with the right kind of support, nothing's impossible.
Second, I'm doing this because I love spending time on the mountain. Many of us do. That's why I'm helping raise funds for the UTCT Trail Fund. Not only do their proceeds ensure our mountain is safe and well-kept, they also have an incredible development programme that provides coaching and support to disadvantaged kids to foster the next generation of elite runners.

The UTCT Trail Fund is an ongoing legacy project where funding is generated for two primary areas of focus:

To develop and grow trail running in disadvantaged communities and,

To contribute to Table Mountain National Park’s Honorary Rangers conservation programmes that maintains the National Park.
