Dear friends and community,
Our darling and loving mother, wife, gran and friend, Annelize was diagnosed with stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, 23 December 2022. Our hearts were shattered, and we knew this was going to be an extremely challenging time with an immense amount of emotional, physical and financial challenges.
With no medical aid and a small cancer policy we navigated through most of the expenses, chemotherapy, mastectomy, hospitalisation, blood transfusions and nursing care to manage her symptoms. On 22 February 2024 we received the sad news that the cancer started spreading to the lungs and liver, which almost made us lose hope.
Up until now, we as a family pushed beyond the limits to pay out of pocket. After doing the necessary testing, we received wonderful news on 1 March 2024, that she qualifies for immunotherapy. This treatment option is the last resort to fight this terrible disease.
We sincerely ask for all possible financial support to help cover the immunotherapy treatment cost, nursing care during the night and additional medical costs that will occur during this period. Immunotherapy is a proven treatment for advanced stages of cancer that cannot be defeated in other ways and gives her the opportunity to continue living a fulfilling life with her husband, 3 kids, 5 grandkids, friends, family and far beyond.
We have an immense amount of gratitude for every single donation, no matter the size to help her through this treatment and we await to share her healing journey.
As I continue my battle against stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, I deeply appreciate the ongoing support of my community. With the cancer now spreading to my lungs and liver, the road ahead is challenging, and I am unable to work. Your small recurring donations over the next few months would mean the world to me, helping to cover my medical expenses as I undergo immunotherapy treatment and continue fighting for a chance at a fulfilling life with my loved ones.
