Hi Everyone, 

I'm the mother of a loving 34-year-old son who recently survived a motorcycle accident but is now facing a challenging recovery. Unfortunately, due to a lack of timely treatment, he lost his arm and leg and suffered two strokes, leaving his hand paralyzed.

After four months in a government hospital, three toes on his only remaining foot had to be amputated. His condition hasn't improved, and he endures severe pain. Urgent tests and proper treatment are crucial to save his life, but we lack the necessary medical funds.

This situation is taking a toll on his mental well-being, despite his resilience. Please, find it in your hearts to support this young man in his journey towards recovery. Your help will contribute to a brighter testimony, and we trust in God for a positive outcome on his long road to recovery.

I'm the mother of a 34-year-old son recovering from a motorcycle accident, losing an arm, a leg, and suffering two strokes. Two toes on his right leg were amputated as well. He awaits another operation on the 2nd February 2024 for the amputation of his right leg. The vascular doctor told me that they found 3 blood clots in his right leg and that is the reason for they pain he had to endure for many months now.  The vascular Dr said it is too risky for the operation to try and fix the veins and that amputation will be the only solution.

A voluntary doctor phoned me and said that he can help my son after he has been discharged after this operation and he is an expert in trauma and wound healing. He found a sponsor for the medicine and equipment needed to treat Andries for two weeks. After all this suffering and what he had to go through the last 5 months, it is time that my son needs something positive to help him understand that life can still be appreciated. Attached to this letter I will put the details of the doctor and the expenses we are facing to help my son on his journey to full recovery.

Travelling with Cemair for 2 return tickets - R1100-00

Their accomodation for two weeks - R9000-00

Car rental will be needed - R5000-00 plus the deposit of R5500-00

Dr Nick and Sister Nicolette will also need funding for fuel and their food for two weeks - R6400-00 and this all adds op to the amount of R27 000-00.

Andries has a lot of challenges waiting outside the hospital and therefore again I ask for help to assist him financialy because he has two months waiting period to get SASSA disability grant and in the meantime he will need personal things that he will need until he can manage to buy this with his own money. He lost so much already and his dignity is all he has left. Is you can find a way to help with this, we would forever be greatful.
