I am the proud auntie of my nephew, Andre Heunis. He is like the child I never had and it has been such a to see him grow and develop into this amazing sportsman, especially on the cricket field.
I still remember his first yellow plastic cricket bat like it was yesterday. He use to tell me that he is going to play cricket with the professionals one day, and I believe in his dream.
1. Represented various cricket tournament and district franchises.
2. 2024 The Vice Captain of the Bethlehem Voortrekker cricket 1st team.
3. 2024 Under 19 Kovies Lions Team that will be touring to Netherland end of June 2024.
4. Top 3 Most Valuable Players of tournament.
5. Top order batsman and fast bowler.
6. 2023 Under 19 FPL Free State Premier League.
7. Played for the Golden Gate Guardians.
8. 2023 Represented Eastern Free State.
This young man's average strike rate is 122, and his average batting rate is 36.
When such a young boy idolise a South African cricketer and former captain like Quinton de Kock then you must know the cricket passion, dedication by training and great talent are in Andre's DNA.
Andre school at Voortrekker in Bethlehem, and it is a great honour for him to be selected for the Netherlands Cricket Tour 30 June to 8 July 2024. This is an opportunity that will allow him to explore wonderful cricket exposure in the Netherlands.
