Personal message

The Cape Town Cycle Tour will take place on the 12th of March 2023

I believe in the humble, honest, humanitarian work that Home of Hope does, as they are changing lives daily, and I would love for us to be a part of the change.

This year I have the privilege to ride for my buddy Naomi. Naomi has been with Home of Hope for most of her life, as her family abandoned her due to her physical and mental disabilities (caused by prenatal alcohol exposure). She attends a special needs school called Amathemba to meet her educational needs and visits many doctors and clinics to help her with her physical challenges.

Even though Naomi has had a challenging start to life, she is a resilient girl who is determined to get rid of her crutches and wheelchair and start walking. Although she can walk only short distances within the children's Home, she practises daily.

I would like to reach my R12 000.00 target and more for Home of Hope to provide Naomi with the best opportunities possible. All my fundraising efforts will go directly towards Naomi's education and daily needs.

The Rohloff Group has donated the offline donation of R7,633

Home of Hope was started in 2005, and we are an NPO that cares for abandoned and abused children and children with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD – permanent brain damage caused by pre-natal exposure to alcohol). The organisation also caters for the special educational needs of children suffering from FAS (Foetal Alcohol Syndrome) and neurological challenges, in our Amathemba Learning Centre. There are currently 37 children at our Amathemba Learning Centre.
