Allow me to introduce myself. I am a 32-year-old single mother who was blessed with a beautiful baby girl in 2013. However, when she was just three weeks old, we received a daunting revelation: she was born with only one lung, one kidney, and scoliosis. This news shook our world, and we embarked on a journey of medical challenges.

Our first stop was Sunninghill for urgent medical attention. Despite the efforts of the medical team there, they concluded that surgery was not an option at that time. Instead, we were advised to seek specialized care and closely monitor her condition for any changes that might make surgery feasible in the future. 

Currently, we are scheduled to see a specialist in Johannesburg. This entails traveling from Pietermaritzburg for the appointment. However, the pediatrician, cardiologist, and surgeon require a cash payment for the consultation fee, which amounts to R6600.00. 

It's an urgent matter because my daughter's heart has been affected by her condition. Due to the absence of one lung, her heart has shifted, causing distressing symptoms. She has been complaining of feeling as though her heart is stopping at times. Consequently, her local pediatrician urgently advised us to seek the expertise of a cardiologist in Johannesburg, as he suspects that her heart may require immediate attention.

The outcome of this appointment will determine if she needs urgent surgery. Therefore, I am reaching out to humbly request any assistance in raising the consultation fee. Your generosity could be the lifeline we desperately need to ensure her well-being and potentially save her life.
