Personal message
Hi there, my name is Ambrose Naldrett, husband, and father of 2 awesome kids. I am from the Western Cape- Cape Town. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time on my bicycle.
Family time is important to me and more important is teaching my children that giving is more important than only focusing on what makes us happy.
This will not be my first CTCT, I do believe that it will however be one that I will remember. This will be my second ride as part of the Home of Hope team.
The opportunity to ride for others will be my fuel and inspiration.
Sizwe is 13 years old and is the sweetest little boy you’d come across. He has been a part of Home of Hope for many years and has truly formed a sibling bond with his brothers and sisters in the children’s home.
Due to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Sizwe struggles academically, therefore he attends Amathemba Special Needs School where he receives individual attention to help him progress.
Learning is really difficult for Sizwe. He has an amazing imagination and loves to play with his friends and toys.
Raising money for Sizwe means I get to make a difference in his life and the only way I can do it is with your help. So together we can change Sizwe’s world.
Funds raised will contribute towards the educational costs for Sizwe.
By raising these funds, he will be provided with the best education he can get and be provided with a fair chance of gaining an education.

Home of Hope

Home of Hope was started in 2005, and we are an NPO that cares for abandoned and abused children and children with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD – permanent brain damage caused by pre-natal exposure to alcohol). We are a registered place of safety and we have 19 children in our long term community based foster care.
The organisation also caters for the special educational needs of children suffering from FAS (Foetal Alcohol Syndrome) and neurological challenges, in our Amathemba Learning Centre. There are currently 37 children at our Amathemba Learning Centre.
