I am Ms Siphiwe Nkhambule, reaching out on behalf of my mother, Mrs Alina Nkhambula, who recently had a home accident affecting her spine and right knee.

After consulting with Dr.Toni at (Groenkloof Pretoria), it was recommended that she undergo a Total Knee Replacement surgery urgently due to persistent pain and limited mobility.

While she is covered by Bonitas medical aid, the current plan does not fully cover the prosthetics, necessitating additional funds for the outstanding costs, including:

• Prosthetics: To ensure she receives the best possible knee replacement.
• Rehabilitation: Essential for her recovery and regaining mobility.
• Prescribed Medication: Vital for managing pain and facilitating healing.

Unfortunately, our limited income prevents us from upgrading the medical aid option. Attempts to seek assistance from a government hospital resulted in an impractical +8 years waiting list, leaving her in constant pain and making it difficult for her to move.
