Aliana is an ordinary 12-year-old girl who is very competitive in everything she does. She is extremely dedicated to her academics, and we, as her parents, believe that studies should always be her top priority. However, Aliana has a unique talent and a deep passion for acrobatic dancing. We want to share her story with you.
Aliana started her journey in dancing at the age of 5 in 2017. She participated in her first competition in 2018 which she also then qualified to represent South Africa in Serbia. But at the age of only 6 years old we decided that she is still very young and that she will get more big opportunities in the future.
Aliana has been competing every year in numerous competitions always winning high silver or gold.
Aliana's competitive spirit continued in January 2022 when she then decided to start a new journey and started acrobatic sports. She then also started at level 5 of acrobatic sports, and was nr 1 in North West in her age group 10 and under. Where she then received her North West colours. Further more she qualified for ASSA (Acrobatic Sport South Africa) championships and scored an overall 9.16% and received her South African colours.
In 2023 Aliana had a short sick bed which she could not compete in acrobatic sports and then fell out of the ASSA championships but with her competitive spirit, Aliana refused not to dance in 2023 and then decided to compete in the IFAA South African Championships in Oktober 2023. She achieved 85.5% at IFAA Trials, 88% at IFAA Semi-Finals and needed 90% or higher to qualify to represent South Africa in Mauritius in September 2024. Aliana the made the South African team with a score of 92.2% in the Finals.
Aliana's success in acrobatics is a testament to her unwavering commitment and hard work. Her accomplishments serve as an inspiration to aspiring dancers worldwide.
