Personal message

This year I have entered the 702 Walk the Talk and will be walking 15km to raise money for Pet Empowerment in The Townships Joburg Branch.

I personally know two of great ladies who work tirelessly for this cause and I want to support them by raising as much money as I can. I think the work they do is unbelievable. However money doesn't grow on trees and they need every cent they can get!

PETS (Pet Empowerment in Townships) strives to empower animals in townships and poor communities. They work with the community to improve the lives of these disadvantaged animals by giving them daily meals, warm shelters, regular inoculations, sterilisations and vet care in emergencies. They also rehome those ones that are unwanted, unloved or lost.

They try to instil in the communities, a responsibility and pride for their animals by not just empowering the animals, but also by educating and helping the people uplift themselves. They believe in working hand in hand with the animals and people of these impoverished areas to create unity, trust and stability for all.
