400km Iconic Challenge 2022

We are The Icons Journey Marathon Foundation NPO 255-955, A non-profit subsidiary of The Icons Journey Marathon (Pty) Ltd Multi-Sporting event, a member of Proudly South African.
We are looking to raise enough funds to continue the good work we started in 2018 through our CSI initiative named Promote Sport For Social Change - 400km Iconic Challenge.
We are promoting sports to uplift our underprivileged rural and township communities. Over the years, particular focus has been on the schools in these communities.
Funds raised from the 400km Iconic Challenge initiative will benefit over 2000 school kids with school shoes, sanitary towels, and sports kits Nationally. The 400km run over eight days will be broken down this way:
- 42.2km x 7 days
- 103km on day 8
The event takes place in Eastern Cape and cuts across the Heritage and Tourism Route from Fort Hare University in Alice, past Fort Beaufort, past Komani, past Cofimvaba, past Ngcobo, and Clarkebury past Mqhekezweni, past Qunu, and ends at Nelson Mandela Museum in Mthatha.
Funds raised will, however, benefit schools Nationally.

The event takes place in Eastern Cape in three district municipalities namely (Amathole, Chris Hani, and O.R Tambo Districts). Funds raised will however benefit schools Nationally.
Since 2018 we have been able to raise funds that have benefited over 500 village and township school pupils. With this initiative, we will amplify this number.
