S4J Field Trips

It is essential for the S4J team to stay in regular contact with field partners. Those field partners represent all of the work the S4J is involved in within Sudan and South Sudan and, where applicable, in surrounding nations. 

 It includes a range of activities, including eye surgeries, water projects, serving war widows with skills and equipment towards their livelihood, creating awareness, mobilizing and facilitating prayer by email and the weekly 5-hour online prayer for Sudan.

Some are staying in touch takes place online and via e-mail contact. But sometimes, travelling north to Sudan, South Sudan, and surrounding countries becomes essential.

 One great example of travelling to an S4J field project is when Manda Gomes travelled to Egypt as part of the S4J team connected to the Beja peoples project. 

Manda was allowed to co-decide with field and support partners exactly what we, as S4J, would support. This project is a resounding success, and part of the reason for that success is the opportunity to connect onsite with field partners.
