Help rebuild Our Burnt Home Campaign

I will always remember December 12th as the day our world completely collapsed. Our lives were instantly destroyed by fire that broke out in our family's Poppy Crescent, Ebony Park Extension 4. While trying to make sense of the destruction, I gulped out tears. This house, once a refuge of treasured memories, was reduced to rubble, but it nevertheless carried the whispers of centuries past. Our house caught fire with the flicker of a candle—a terrible result of going months without power because of a faulty transformer. Our neighbors heard us screaming as the flames blazed in the middle of the night and came running to help us escape by breaking windows. 

We lost all we carried in an instant, and now we have to start our lives over from the beginning.

We have had several difficulties because we had to force the tenants out of the back rooms so that we could use them as a temporary refuge. We used to survive on these back rooms since our grandmother is pensioner .

In addition, our financial difficulties have gotten more severe, so we are relying on our grandmother ‘s pension fund .  

Any form of assistance, whether it be financial contributions, building materials, or even essential items like clothing, food, toiletries and furniture  would make a big difference in our lives.

The need is urgent, especially considering that there are school-going children, and a pensioner who deserve a stable home environment. Your support in sharing our story and rallying the community for aid will not only help us rebuild our physical shelter but also restore hope and stability to our family.
