Support for Hansje Botes Campaign

Our friend Hansje Botes was admitted to hospital in November 2023.  She went in due to a big toe, that needed to be amputated.  The operation was done, and Hansje was in hospital for almost 40 days.  The wound just wouldn't heal as she is a diabetic as well.  They then amputated the rest of her toes.  Lots of hours and days in ICU, High care and surgical ward.  Hansje came home just after Christmas, she visited the wound sister twice between New Year and the 4th of Jan.  On the 4th she was admitted to hospital again, for a further debridement of the foot as, the wound again didn't heal and areas were stil black.  Hansje is still in hospital, after the debridement, the they amputated her whole foot and part of her leg to just below her knee.  Then Hansje started bleeding internally - back to theatre to find out where the bleeding is coming from.  She was again put back into ICU and since last week (around 6 Feb) she was moved to High care.
