The Recce Raid - The Recce Mission is an epic adventure that will take you to the boundaries of physical and mental toughness while enjoying the wonders of nature and being human.

Laura Milne (Cycling 200km +) and a few others will be participating in this event in the hope to raise funds to obtain Eye-gaze technology for Ian to be able to communicate.

We are a registrered Non Profit dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable people. Our Community Garden project is aimed at erradicating hunger, upskilling and upliftimg our Community. We are raising funds for irrigation,shade netting a green house and a continer for a skilld development Centre.

"Parental Support" Workshop

The cornerstone of good parenting is threefold: love, respect, and discipline.

THE IMPORANT JOB OF BEING A PARENT IS

* To raise a child who is happy, healthy, confident, cooperative, and responsible

* To build a strong, lifelong relationship with your child

* To help your child grow to be a responsible adult

* To raise a loving and lovable child (Dinkmeyer, et al, 2003)

PROGRAMME WILL ADDRESS THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

What do I think I’m doing right?
What do I want to change?
What can I expect from my child?
What makes my child special to me?
Why does my child misbehave?
How can I help my child make good choices about how to act?
How can we show that we love and respect each other?
How can we have more fun together?

Bion (1975, P.147) said: “However experienced we are we still know very little indeed about how to bring up children, of whatever age. We are beginning to know that we do not know – that is something.”

We will be hosting this amazing workshop on Sunday, 24th of February 2024 and Sunday, 3rd of March 2024.

We therefore request for your assistance to make this a reality for a couple of parents, that are not able to attend due to financial constraints. We truly believe that any parent will truly benefit from this workshop.

Help Promising Treatment for 1 Year old Elijah

I'd like to introduce you to my 1 year old son Elijah Deacon, who was born with a condition called Arthrogryposis (AMC) TEV. This condition affects all four of his limbs, resulting in limited movement and muscle weakness.A rare disorder that effects two or more body part's. Arthrogryposis (AMC) refers to development of multiple joint contractures affected prior to birth.

A contractures occurs when a joint becames permanently fixed in a bent or straightened position which can impact the function and range of motionof the joint. Unfortunately there is no cure for Arthrogryposis (AMC)

In his arms, he has very little movement, they can't bend, and his wrists are bent inwards, with weak fingers that remain locked straight. One of his legs is dislocated at the pelvis and the dr doesn't want to correct the leg that is dislocated and both his legs are locked straight, unable to bend, resembling a clubfoot. Arthrogryposis (AMC) primarily involves joint contractures, which cause stiffness and muscle weakness.

Since he was just 4 days old, medical professionals have been trying to improve

his condition through casting. Unfortunately, the first hospital provided a misdiagnosis, and the second hospital recommended a wheelchair for life. We then moved to Cape Town and visited a third hospital where casting continued,

but it resulted in severe sores on his legs after the fourth casting. Our journey took us to three different hospitals in three different provinces, yet there was no improvement in his condition. Unfortunately, we are no longer in Cape Town.Unfortunately the Dr's in our country doesn't really know much about his condition or how to treat him

Recently, Elijah was given the incredible opportunity to see a specialist in Greenville who specializes in Arthrogryposis (AMC) and works exclusively with children facing this condition. They want to help him gain the ability to walk and provide him a chance at an independent life.

However, we are facing financial constraints. We are in dire need of assistance to make this life-changing opportunity a reality. The funds we are seeking will cover the costs of passports, visas,Housing,Food,transportation(Flights), fuel, and Miscellaneous during our stay. We'll be traveling for an extended period of time (4-6months), and it will be just me and my son due to budget limitations. If we can gather enough funds, my husband can join us by purchasing plane tickets and cover his housing,food and things

We understand that there are many families in need, and we are strangers to most of you. However, your support will make a monumental difference in our child's life, giving him the chance for independence and the ability to walk.
